OK. So today is the day I get the official diagnosis and my first visit with my Doctor to find out my treatment.
I feel really weird and kind of spaced out a little.

Well, welcome to my new Blog.
I've had some health problems lately, mainly concerning my spine. However, about two weeks ago I had to go to accident and emergency of our local hospital with a nasty infection (nuff said!!) and as a result of this visit attend my own Doctor's surgery to be tested for Diabetes.
Turns out I now have Type 2 Diabetes. Yay is me. I have to see my Doctor tomorrow (15/7/2010) for confirmation of the diagnosis and what the treatment is going to be and entails.
Like most people (I guess) I know very little about it or what causes it. I have learnt that Type 2 is controlled by diet and/or drugs. I have to take enough drugs for spine without taking more for this, I will rattle as I walk!!
I am constantly tired, irritable and my concentration is somewhat lacking. I guess these are possible symptoms. I don't know how long I have had it or how severe it is. I will find out tomorrow I hope.
I have already started cutting back on sugary intake and am missing it. Tea tastes disgusting without sugar in it.
Anyway I will try to periodically update this blog with my experiences.
